Both Marvel and DC have pretty much simultaneously destroyed/merged their multiverses (which, to my great annoyance required the destruction of the Captain Britain Corps off camera). Opportunity to revitalise or shameless marketing ploy? Could you replicate it in a campaign? I don't think I could make the investment in building something up just so you can tear it down again......

yes, at Expo last year i ran with Simon the Singularity bomb, which almost cause the end of the multiverse. but if the would have failed the worlds would have collapsed. i reckon its doable.
