Squares and time.

What length to do you give squares? Reading betwen the lines I came up with 2 metres. Would that be a safe enough inference? And working out how fast a character can fly without knowing the length of time represented by a combat panel is a problem.

Cheers. And time, is it approximately 3 seconds per panel/frame like in the very old rules?

Sort of. But if you use the random int then a combat round could be 1 to 4 panels. I'd still go with 3 seconds though, just to make it easier

So a combat turn was 12 seconds split into 4 frames/panels. Making each frame/panel 3 seconds.

With the new random panels a combat round could be 1 to 4 panels. Which gives you a combat round of 3 to 12 seconds. Either those 9 seconds don't exist or they become dead time.

I use the random method at conventions. But would probably go with the more traditional method for a campaign with friends.
