Podcast for SQUK?

I have been kicking around the idea of recording a one - off podcast covering Squadron UK. Ideally, i'd like to approach Simon Burley with the idea of recording an interview over SKYPE and using that as the basis of the podcast. Still knocking the idea around. Anyone have any thoughts on this?

That sounds like it could be good. A brief history. An as I remember it....

Exactly. Cover the history of the game, interview Simon, talk about the new game and what's coming up for it. That sort of thing.

He could give his side of the story

I wouldn't want him to dish the dirt, i'm generally interested in talking to him about how the game got started and where he'd like it to go.

I was thinking of the history of GH according to Simon. I also think he is still in contact with Peter haines as well. That could be cool

It would be good to listen to such a thing. Even better if he talks about his ideas for the new SQUK too.

This is the sort of thing I would like to do. I'm going to carry out some testing with Skype in the next couple of weeks before approaching Simon officially. My plan is to record something during the school holidays as Simon is a teacher, I believe. If Simon is not willing to participate, i'll rethink the content but i'd still like to do a podcast of some sort. Watch this space.

Perhaps you should ask the forum if they have any questions for Mr B about the new SQUK?

Wanted to give you an update on this notion. I'm now committed to producing a one-off podcast in support of Squadron UK. I don't want to give too much away but look for more news just after Easter.

The podcast is recorded an edited. I'm preparing to launch it officially on Sunday at some point. I've set up a Twitter account for the show along with a web page and email address. Details to follow on Sunday. Excited for you all to hear it.
