Anyone play other Supers RPGs?
At the moment I'm running SQUK and a house ruled DC Heroes (MEGs version) by ditching the table and rolling more. What other games have people tried/played/loved/hated?

I've played a bunch of them; Marvel Superheroes, Dc Heroes, M&M 2nd edition, Necessary Evil (supers for Savage Worlds) and a few others. Have a load I haven't played a well including M&M3, Icons, BASH and Supers.

Heh, I'm like you. I suppose I collect Supers RPGs (have all those you list and more) to mine for ideas and rules.
Currently writing two houserule documents, one for DC Heroes and another for Marvel Universe RPG (the diceless version) to punt at my players for playtesting. The DC Version is going well (even if I do say so) and we've ditched the tables and Hero Point mechanic. In place there's an 'effort point' which is a recharging resource for players to roll extra dice when performing actions and pick their best two, drop the others.
I can't help tinkering with everything I play *whistle*

Re: Anyone play other Supers RPGs?
I may have to go back to my Necessary Evil game at some point as , Kevin's Golden Heroes game aside, it was probably the most successful supers game i've run.
Re: Anyone play other Supers RPGs?
I am an avid collector of super rpgs and have most that are on the market.
My favourate out of them all are (in no particular order)
Golden Heroes
Squadron UK
Supers
Necessary Evil
Icons
Godsend Agenda (D6 Powers)
Brave New Worlds
In the original D6 Powers rules I had both my characgters Mirror and Blue Bottle published as example characters and help with D6 Powers expanded and revised.
A lot of people dislike brave new world but I love the game especially the power packages. It meant the players had to cooperate with each other as no one was over powered.

Re: Anyone play other Supers RPGs?
i have player most of those on the list as well as GURPS Supers.
i all waysseemed to crawl back to GH/SQUK.
But for me its the story you are trying to convey rather than the system. so when i wrote "No More Heroes: Return to Anthrax Island" i had the concept them looked for rules to fit. and Golden Heroes was the obvious choice.

Re: Anyone play other Supers RPGs?
I ran a mini campaign with M&M 3rd edition which was fun, set in a fictious Britain and the heroes were second stringers to the nations main super team Knights of Avalon! but not so much these days... , have got DC Adventures, Marvel Heroic Roleplaying, Truth & Justice, M&M 3ed, Icons and BASH! I do play more wargames than RPG though nowadays so I have used both Icons and BASH for skirmish games and played a campaign with SuperSystem 3ed.

At one point or other I have owned/ran MSH, Advanced MSH, Golden Heroes, Gurps Supers and the lite version of Silver Age Sentinels. Played a few others. I have also played characters in the New Avalon and Heropress (SAN Angeles setting) PBMs back in the day.

I'm very much looking forward to picking up Supers Revised Edition when it comes out. Also Powers and Paragons is on sale at RPGNow for $4.95 at the moment.

Forgot to mention Godlike before. my Squadron UK rules arrived today. Only had chance for a quick flick through but it has a reassuringly familiar feel to it.....

Re: Anyone play other Supers RPGs?
Just before Christmas I picked up two new supers games (well new to me)
Rotted Capes: the Zombie apocalypse has come all the A-list heroes went out to fight them and either got eaten or turned into super zombies. Now it is down to the B-listers and sidekicks to step up to the mark and save humanity.
Better Angels: you play a person who has made a packed with a demon for powers, could be because you are evil yourself or you're a good guy who wants super abilities to help others. The twist to this game is you play the guy but one of the other players plays your demon and you play someone else's demon. looked like fun
so has anyone heard / played these games.

Re: Anyone play other Supers RPGs?
"What other games have people tried/played/loved/hated?" A lot of the old superhero games like the BRP Superworld, which our group loved; Champions, which I hated GMing. A lot of Marvel RPGs, and GH. One of these days I'll get around to running the first version of Superworld, from the Worlds of Wonder boxed set of games. I was thinking of putting a lot of Cthulhu mythos nasties in it for the supers to fight against.

Re: Anyone play other Supers RPGs?
I have super worlds
Also played a lot of champions in college and a lot of M&M 1st ed when it came out. Couldn't get to grips with2nd or 3rd ed.
Loads and loads of GHs a bit of brave new worlds.
Lately I've been playing icons and supers online.
