This is what i will be running over a 5 slot 20 hour period, my last Playtest of the adventure

Campaign name “Legacy: The Shadows, Out of time”

Issue one (4 players), “Their Finest Hour: The Secret origin of SHADOW V”
Its 1941 and 4 friends from Whitby, on leave from the war arrive in London. What follows take them from old London town to a mysterious Castle in Austria. Complete with clandestine groups, secret organisations, Evil Scientists and of course, as many goddamn Nazi’s as you can kill, can you prevent the coming of the Ubermensch, or will you take that mantle on yourself…

This is the true Origin of the Team that would one day become…”SHADOW V”.

Issue Two (6 Players) “…Five years later”
It’s the 1950 WWII is over (look away now if you don’t want to see the results) and a new threat has emerged, a new war, but this time is it a cold one. The 4 Friends, Now super-powered are working on “Project: Tube Alloy” (The UK’s version of the Manhattan Project), when a terrible explosion cause the Project to be suspended and the data handed over to the Americans. The Team are reassigned to SHADOW V the royal protection detail. Where they discover state secrets, the theft of an ancient object, meet two new members, chase hints of devils in Devon and find themselves in a Faraday Cage

They meet a man who sends them back to 1897 by royal decree, on a special Quest..

Issue Three (6 Players), “Queen Victoria and the Darkness of the Pit”
Its 1855 and the Talented Gentlemen are in the employ of Charles fields. In this adventure the team are called upon to Police the Last Bartholomew fair. There are gold thefts, steam powered villains, Spring-Heeled Jack, the Highgate Vampire and travel to the dark satanic pits of the British Empire. And a Lunch date with Charles Dickens and Willkie Collins.

Questions will be answered, but more will be asked…

Issue Four(6 Players), “Strikeback”
It is now Bavaria 1897. The discovery of a possible dark secret?.
The team are hunting a mysterious secret organisation, as well as fighting the supernatural, only they can they stop a global war from beginning too early, or can they…

It is time to discover the things from your Nightmares are real…

Issue Five (6 Players), 2012
The future, or at least it’s the Heroes future 2012, and someone has taken over the SAS and its 20 strong team of Power Armour called “STRIKEFORCE”, there’s the strange theft of some old statue from the Vatican City vaults, old foes new foes and the Legacy of an E.A.G.L.E to clear up. An epic battle, to prevent the end of the human Race. can the Team prevent this nightmare and finally return to their own time… or is there one last time jump…

I'll new running "snapshots" from the squadron: Birmingham campaign over the weekend.

If you run a web search for "Squadon uk" RPG you can find a sneak preview of all the expo games. The booking system doesn't go live until the end of march.

Sometimes I wish I wasn't running a game in every slot. I want to plays. Kevin's games.........

We're going to be there. Just working out which session we can go to. I'd love to be in one of Simon's, but as I'm already playing the squadron Birmingham campaign (with my son as referee), I know to much of the plot (and he knows all of it).
I'm sure yours will be just as good - and it will be great to finally meet you, Kevin!!

Dominic (14) & I are booked in for the Sunday morning - there's nothing else on we want to play then. Whether we can sneak in another session will also depend on whether we have a foster baby placed with us between now and then. It's a bit much to ask my lovely wife to look after him/her and my other two boys for more than 4 hours.
I might ask my middle son if he's interested in playing, but although he's bright he's only 12, and doesn't always get on with Dominic.
It might end up like our first session of Squadron Birmingham when I was trying to take down a knife welding 'hero' with my magical spatulas. I'm sorry - but superheroes don't go round stabbing people. I think Dominic's friend learnt his lesson. He may have played too much D&D.

OK i have begun to do the write up, its just summarise the scenarios and what went on. i will attempt to ad more detail when my kids have gone back to school and i have more time. any way

Sadly i forgot to take photos. but here is my Con report. I was stuck on the M25 for hours o my way there so issed out running my first game, The Pilcomayo Project. Simon Burley stepped in and ran a game for the players. We had around 48hrs of Squadron UK over the weekend each group was either sold out or only had a single spare space. Each session went well, some better than others.
Here is how it went down, true belivers…

Issue one (4 players), “Their Finest Hour: The Secret origin of SHADOW V”
Its 1941 and 4 friends from Whitby, on leave from the war arrive in London. What follows take them from old London town to a mysterious Castle in Austria. Complete with clandestine groups, secret organisations, Evil Scientists and of course, as many goddamn Nazi’s as you can kill, can you prevent the coming of the Ubermensch, or will you take that mantle on yourself…
That was the blurb, the team of 4 we on the train on leave from the war, the were heading to the Old Saracen’s Head on Snow hill road in London, the train is attacked by “The Destroyer” who is hunting the Children of the White fox, The Sons of Valhalla. Just before the team are hurt, Howitzer arrives to save the day.
They arrive in London settle in the pub and then make their way to another pub where they were due to meet some mates. On the way on the corner of Cock lane and Giltspur street the encounter a robbery, (direct for Finest hour) this then leads them on a chase through London hunting suspected Nazi sympathisers and potential supervillians. This leads them to a showdown in the basement of a town house with a Villain and a meeting with s clandestine group called “BLACKWATCH”. They are invited to join and to take part in a reconnaissance to Himmler’s castle in Austria, Wewelsburg castle, CODENAME: THE AERIE. As they glided in on a glider they were sabotaged and the plane crashed, they awoke a month later to discover the Nazis had experimented on the turning the test subjects into Superheroes. After a pitched battle with SS Stormtroopers they manage to escape in a Vril powered Hanube II Nazi flying saucer. The game ended with the team successfully arriving home.

This is the true Origin of the Team that would one day become…”SHADOW V”.

Issue Two (6 Players) “…Five years later” (called 5 years later as this take place 5 years after the war/after the SS werewolf mop up and the issues in Palastine and the Stern Gang)
That was the blurb, the team of 4 then 6 began the adventure on the secret PROJECT :TUBE ALLOY. Located In a hidden underground base. Which was attacked by The Destroyer how again was after the Children of the White Fox. This element of the project was working on plasma generator lead a by a young Professor. During the fight the professor was thrown at the Generator as a stray shot from on of the heroes damaged it, the Generator exploded and the Destroyer escaped however the plasma energy was absorbed by the professor (Who would in time become the EAGLE Plasma).
In the Aftermath the team were reassigned by their Handler a chap from MI6 called Philby. The new assignment was as part of the Royal protection detail “SHADOW V”, as such they must reort to the Palace. Were they Met Sir James Patterson, the also discovered that Queen Victoria is still alive albeit encased in ice. It is explained to the team that in 1897 the Holy Grail (Dagda’s Cauldron of Inspiration, the Thirteenth treasure of Britain). It has come to the attention of the Crown that a Professor of theoretical physics at Cambridge has just created and use a time machine. Professor Moses nebogipfel (The Anachronic Man (HG Wells)). The team agree to be sent back in time. They are sent along with a military advisor and American Eagle. But instead of arriving in 1897 they woke up in a Faraday cage in the basement of the Athenaeum Club in London, With Michael Faraday standing over them. They had no memory of 1897, but were suffering the signs of battle. The team spent a month in the club getting used to their new time.
The Military Advisor Captain Montague (really Jacob Hoist who had been sent from Austria 1899 by the Machine a thing from the far flung future. On a very different mission) the Captain recovered a suit of the MKII Lancelot Armour which had been hidden in the suit of the Regency Era Steam powered hero “Ironclad”. They were offered a job with the Private inquiry agency of Charles Fields. And use of the Airship “the Decimus”. The meeting with Fields went well; he offered then a job and a first assignment to investigate the mysterious Devils Foot prints in Devon.
The Devils foot Prints.
The team arrived in Exeter and booked in the Ship Inn on Fish street, where they meet two local clergymen. Who thought that an escaped Kangaroo from a local menagerie across the water in Sidmouth was responsible?. They also noted that Francis Galton (who would become the father of Eugenics) was also asking about the same events. He also went off to the menagerie earlier that day.
They then took the airship to the zoo, where they found a group of keepers with a cage of 10 Wolves that were being shipped off to the last Bartholomew fair. After a chat with the owner of the zoo. Mr Fischer, they discover Galton may have lost 10 Silverback gorillas that walk upright, Fischer knew nothing of the Apes or the missing Kangaroo he felt that the Devils foot prints were due to the mysterious Dewerstone at Dewer Crags at the very edge of the moor, this is where he sent Galton.
The team boarded the airship and flew to the Rocks. However they were attacked enroot by some airship pirates the Korrigan brothers, 6 Dwarfs from the Otherworld. The dwarfs were thwarted whe American Eagle, using his EAGLE ring and tomahawk split open the airbag of the dwarfs airship. It fell to the earth, but not be the team grabbed a dwarf to question. They discovered that the Dewer was a Huntsman with a pack of Cu-shee Hounds. The Huntsmans was in fact Vixian the Witch. The dwarf also told the team of the Gorillas the huntsman had captured. Upon arrival a Battle ensued the hounds were quickly dispatched as the Witch/Huntsman entered the fight, she was taken out by a well thrown bolder. Galton had with him a device to control the apes. And he explained Spring-Heeled Jack had broken in to his house and stolen the apes.
At the end of the adventure the team were recalled to London for reassignment.
