I have been thinking about magic a lot as the magic rules in the game are very lite...

Oh that was a while ago....All magic come from the great benben stone. The capstone of the great pyramid. Which is currently under Glastonbury tor. It is the power source from an ancient Arcanni world ship.....

Sounds like the Benben stone is the Grail, which can take the form of a stone. And the Arcanni are an excellent origin for magic.

Recently tried my hand at creating a character.
Used the alternative generator in the core rule book regarding archetypes.
Rolled up a Paranormal Infection so naturally rolled up the powers!
Endurance Grade 1
Enhancement Grade 1
*Endurance Grade +1
*Strength Grade +1
Flight Grade 1
Magic
Marksmanship Grade 1
Martial Arts Grade 1
State Change Grade 1
Strength Grade 1
The original rolls actually had Strength Grade 2 and Martial Arts as part of the enhancement power I switched them as it felt more interesting since Enhancement and State Change apparently have similar limitations being related to Psyche.
Given it was derived from the Paranomal Infection archetype and this is about Magic I figured posting here to discuss this might be actually fitting!
I was thinking more listing this as an Infection it that the character bears a pair of ancient obsidian rings linked to an Obsidian Tablet the size of the Stargate from the tv and film series but set like an archway but was used to seal in an ancient abomination from before the Earth was even formed with the only means to release it being three rings.
Two she carries as part of a duty dating back when it was sealed away and the god-like entity who sacrificed its immortality to insure it remained sealed whose descendants of which she is one continue that duty to keep it sealed away.
However a third ring was carved from the original Obsidian Archway and is in the hands of a nemesis who needs at least one of the other rings to open the archway since we're talking Lovecraftian horror well you know how well that goes!
Anyway I was thinking these are her actual powers but she needs to be in contact with the rings to activate her state change which leaves her impervious for a short time activating the enhancements because its part of that state but she can't fly whilst its in effect.
What I'm wondering is how to cement the fact this is actually magic in nature rather than the usual so advanced tech that its indistinguishable from magic.
Any suggestions how to make this more magic orientated?
